Tea & Brewing
Each Brew & Bloom tea is designed to be easy to brew and enjoyable to drink.
As a general guide:
- Use freshly boiled water (slightly cooled for green and white teas)
- Steep for 2–7 minutes, depending on the blend and your taste
- Adjust strength and time to suit your preference
You’ll find specific brewing notes on each product page and on the packaging if you’d like more guidance.
We recommend one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup (around 250ml).
If you prefer a stronger brew, add a little more tea rather than steeping for longer — it keeps flavours balanced and smooth.
Many of our loose leaf teas can be enjoyed for more than one infusion.
Simply re-brew using fresh hot water and adjust the steeping time slightly. You may notice the flavour softens and changes - that’s part of the experience.
Some of our teas naturally contain caffeine, while others are caffeine-free.
Each product page clearly states whether a tea contains caffeine, so you can choose what suits the moment — from morning energy to evening wind-down.
To keep your tea tasting its best, store it:
- in a cool, dry place
- away from direct sunlight
- in an airtight container
This helps preserve flavour, aroma and freshness over time.

Ingredients & Allergens
Our teas are blended using high-quality tea leaves, herbs, fruits, spices and botanicals — chosen for flavour, balance and how they feel to drink. Each blend’s full ingredient list is clearly shown on the product page, so you know exactly what’s in your cup.
Our teas are naturally suitable for a range of dietary preferences, including vegan and plant-based diets.
Because needs can vary, we always recommend checking the ingredient list on the product page to make sure a blend is right for you.
None of our teas contain any of the 14 major allergens as defined by UK food labelling regulations.
Some of our ingredients are sourced from suppliers who also handle allergens. While this does not form part of our blends, we’re transparent about our supply chain and provide full ingredient information on each product page.
If you have a severe allergy or specific concerns, please get in touch before ordering and we’ll be happy to help.
All of our teas and botanicals are sourced from organically grown ingredients.
While Brew & Bloom does not currently label or market its teas as certified organic, we choose suppliers who grow to organic standards and prioritise responsible, low-intervention farming practices.
We’re careful to describe ingredients accurately and transparently, and full ingredient details are always available on each product page.
Tea itself is not considered an ultra-processed food.
Our blends are made primarily from dried tea leaves, herbs, fruits, spices and botanicals that are cut and blended to preserve flavour and quality rather than fundamentally alter the ingredient.
Some blends include small amounts of natural flavouring, used sparingly to support balance and consistency. These make up a minor component of the overall blend.
We don’t use artificial colours, bulk fillers or heavy industrial processing, and full ingredient information is always clearly listed on each product page.
Sustainability
For us, sustainability is about making considered choices that hold up over time — from how ingredients are sourced, to how our teas are blended, packaged and delivered.
We focus on practical steps and we’re transparent about how we work as the business grows.
We choose materials that protect freshness and quality, while ensuring our packaging is plastic-free and designed to be reusable, recyclable or compostable.
It’s a considered choice built into every pack, not an afterthought.
Through Billy’s Brew, we support BillyChip.
For every Billy’s Brew purchased, we fund a hot drink for someone experiencing homelessness, delivered through BillyChip’s network of partner cafés and organisations.
It’s a practical, direct way to turn one cup into another.
