Brewing your tea

Nope. A mug, hot water and something to hold or strain the leaves will do the job beautifully.
A mug infuser is the easiest place to start, while a teapot is lovely when you’re brewing for more than one - or simply feeling fancy.

The exact amount varies slightly between blends, so check the brewing instructions on the pack or product page.
As a general starting point, use one teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per mug, then adjust it until it tastes just right to you.

Black, herbal and fruit teas usually enjoy hotter water. Green teas prefer things a little cooler, as boiling water can make them taste bitter.

Yes. Every Brew & Bloom tea is suitable for vegans - nothing complicated, just brilliant plant-based ingredients in every blend.

We don’t use any of the UK’s 14 listed allergens as ingredients in our teas, and you’ll find the full ingredient list on every blend page.
However, some of our ingredients come from suppliers who also handle allergens, so we can’t guarantee that every blend is completely free from traces. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.

No. Where we use additional flavouring in a blend, it’s always natural flavouring.
You’ll find it clearly included in the full ingredient list on the blend page and packaging.

Decaffeinated tea begins with tea leaves that naturally contain caffeine and has most of it removed.
Naturally caffeine-free blends are made without traditional tea leaves, often using ingredients such as rooibos, honeybush, herbs, fruit or spices.
Decaffeinated tea can still contain a very small amount of caffeine.

Around 90% of the ingredients we use are certified organic at source.
The missing piece isn’t the ingredients—it’s formal certification of Brew & Bloom’s own blending and packing operation. Until that’s complete, we don’t label or sell our finished blends as certified organic.
We’d rather be precise about what has and hasn’t been certified while continuing to choose organic ingredients wherever possible.

Our blends are made primarily from dried tea leaves, herbs, fruits, flowers, spices and other botanicals that are cut and blended rather than heavily processed. Some contain a small amount of natural flavouring to support the flavour and consistency of the blend.
We don’t use artificial colours or bulk fillers, and you’ll always find the full ingredient list on the blend page and packaging.

If you don’t enjoy the first eligible individual tea you buy from us, contact us and we’ll help find a better match or arrange a replacement in line with our Taste Guarantee.
The guarantee covers one opened eligible tea product from your first order and can be used once per customer. Trios, collections, bundles and gift sets aren’t included.

For hygiene and food-safety reasons, opened food products can’t usually be returned unless they are faulty or covered by our Taste Guarantee.
